Variance for a Special Exception and Tiny House to be Placed at 910 12th Street for April Hudson…: City of Shallowater Public Notice   The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 19th of November, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a special exception for April Hudson at 910 12th Street to place a 34’ X 16’ tiny house on the west side of Shallowater Flowers and Gifts. The special exception is for the tiny house to be used as a residence in a commercially zoned area.  There will be an 8’ fence around the tiny house and it will tie in to the existing water and sewer lines of the flower shop.  The shop and the tiny house cannot be sold separately.  The tiny house is restricted from being utilized as a residential rental property in the future as well. This variance will also allow for the size and height of the tiny house to be placed at the location described above.   This variance, if granted would allow them to place a 544 square tiny house to be used as a residence.  The plans meet all required setbacks.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to City Hall, 806-696-4300.  Thank you

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

             

The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 15th of June, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a final plat for Lots 70-136, Highland Heights, a subdivision of Section 23, Block D-5, Lubbock County, Lots 70-136 of Highland Heights are 19.97 acres located east of the Shallowater High School and north of FM 1294. The 19.97 acres zoning classification will be R-1 (Single Family Residential) The public hearing for the final plat for Highland Heights Lots 70-136 will be held at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 15th of June, 2021.
