The City of Shallowater is accepting bids for property owned by the City of Shallowater.
The City of Shallowater will be accepting bids for unimproved land lying northeasterly of State Loop 388 and southeasterly of the BN&SF., being the remainder of Lot 1, Block 13 Original Town of Shallowater (recorded in Volume 26, page 588, Deed Records), Lubbock County, Texas and subject to easements for underground utilities and buyer being able to obtain a clear title. The City of Shallowater will be accepting bids for $0.75 per square foot. Bids must be submitted by June 11, 2021 to City Hall, 801 Avenue G, PO Box 246, Shallowater, Texas 79363 by 2:00pm. Bids should be in the form of the Texas Real Estate Commission’s standard form for the sale of Unimproved Property Contract, Form 9-13, with Buyer paying all costs other than the standard Seller costs found in paragraph 13 of the Unimproved Property Contract. Bidder must also include documentation showing it is financially capable of purchasing the property. Buyer is purchasing the property “as-is.” The buyer must close on the transaction within 60 days of the bid being accepted, unless an extension is agreed to in writing by the City of Shallowater. Failure to timely close will result in the contract being cancelled. The bids will be opened on June 15, 2021 at the City of Shallowater City Council Meeting.
