The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 18th of May, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a variance request and special exception from Charles Hohertz to place a 20’X60’X17’ metal storage building to be placed on the rear lot line at 710 16th Street, for size and height, and for use of storage in R-1 zoning.  The building will be made to drive through from the alley so equipment can be loaded and unloaded to service the rental properties in the area. The walls will be 17’ high with a 2:12 pitch roof. 

This variance, if granted would allow the owner to build a 1,200 square foot metal storage building.  The variance is for the size and height of the structure and the ability to place the building on the rear property line for the special exception use of storage in R-1 zoning.   The plans meet all other required setbacks.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to City Hall, 806-696-4300.
