Weather in Shallowater

June 25, 2021

Dear Resident,

Due to the high concentration of mosquitoes in our city, the City of Shallowater, along with a coalition of fourteen area cities, will conduct aerial spraying for mosquitoes on Monday evening, June 28, 2021.

·         The plane will spray Shallowater sometime during a time period starting on Monday late evening, June 28th, through the overnight hours, weather permitting.  The actual time of spraying will be determined by where we fit in the line-up of cities. Actual spraying of the Shallowater should not take more than 30 minutes.

·         Aerial spraying is particularly effective to reach areas where truck-mounted sprayers cannot reach.

·         Vector Disease Control International is the company that will be spraying.  They specialize in aerial application, have been in business since 1992, and have over 40 offices across the United States.  These products are being applied in strict accordance with label instructions as set forth and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency. The company is fully licensed and certified with Federal monitoring agencies.  Visit for more information about the company.

·         The product used will be Perm-X UL 31-66; visit for product information.

Thank you for your patience with this process!  The City of Shallowater is committed to the health and safety of our citizens.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact City Hall at 806-696-4300.
