Variance for an irrigation well to be placed on the property owned by SISD:                                                                      City of Shallowater                                                                          Public Notice   The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 17th of December , 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a variance to place an irrigation well on the property owned by Shallowater Independent School District.  The location of the well is in Lubbock County, District # 101270, in Shallowater, Texas.  The well will be in Section 27 Block D5 with a Latitude of 33.692237 and a Longitude of -101.99276 as stated in the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District Water Well Permit Application.      This variance, if granted would allow Shallowater Independent School District to place a well to irrigate on their property. The well has a maximum production of 165 gallons per minute.  The benefit to the community as a whole is the city will not have to provide treated drinking water to irrigate and the property can be maintained by Shallowater ISD.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to City Hall, 806-696-4300. The City of Shallowater is accepting bids for property owned by the City of Shallowater.

The City of Shallowater will be accepting bids for unimproved land lying northeasterly of State Loop 388 and southeasterly of the BN&SF., being the remainder of Lot 1, Block 13 Original Town of Shallowater (recorded in Volume 26, page 588, Deed Records), Lubbock County, Texas and subject to easements for underground utilities and buyer being able to obtain a clear title.  The City of Shallowater will be accepting bids for $0.75 per square foot. Bids must be submitted by June 11, 2021 to City Hall, 801 Avenue G, PO Box 246, Shallowater, Texas 79363 by 2:00pm.  Bids should be in the form of the Texas Real Estate Commission’s standard form for the sale of Unimproved Property Contract, Form 9-13, with Buyer paying all costs other than the standard Seller costs found in paragraph 13 of the Unimproved Property Contract.  Bidder must also include documentation showing it is financially capable of purchasing the property.  Buyer is purchasing the property “as-is.”  The buyer must close on the transaction within 60 days of the bid being accepted, unless an extension is agreed to in writing by the City of Shallowater.  Failure to timely close will result in the contract being cancelled.  The bids will be opened on June 15, 2021 at the City of Shallowater City Council Meeting.  The meeting will start at 7:00pm and is located in the Shallowater Police Annex, at 607 Avenue G, Shallowater, Texas.  If you have any questions please call Shallowater City Hall at 806-696-4300.
