Variance to place a carport at 703 11th st.: City of Shallowater Public Notice  The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 15th of April, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a variance to place a 20 X 30 carport on the side of the house on the existing concrete pad at 703 11th street.    This variance, if granted would allow Mr. Keith the ability to place a 20 X 30 carport on the side of the house on the existing concrete pad.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to City Hall, 806-696-4300. Land for Bid on Avenue Q South of Water Treatment Plant…

The City of Shallowater is accepting bids for property owned by the City of Shallowater.

The City of Shallowater will be accepting bids for unimproved land being located in the southwest quarter of Block D5, Section 26, Abstract 865, said property located along Avenue Q, south of the Water Treatment Plant, no further west than the fence line of the Water Treatment Plant to the west, along the railroad easement to the east back to Avenue Q, and subject to easements for underground utilities.  The property will be roughly marked by stakes, and the buyer will be responsible for obtaining a survey giving the exact legal description.  The City of Shallowater will be accepting bids for $0.50 per square foot. Bids must be submitted by April 16, 2021 to City Hall, 801 Avenue G, PO Box 246, Shallowater, Texas 79363 by 4:00pm.  Bids should be in the form of the Texas Real Estate Commission’s standard form for the sale of Unimproved Property Contract, Form 9-13, with Buyer paying all costs other than the standard Seller costs found in paragraph 13 of the Unimproved Property Contract.  Bidder must also include documentation showing it is financially capable of purchasing the property.  Buyer is purchasing the property “as-is.”  The buyer must close on the transaction within 60 days of the bid being accepted, unless an extension is agreed to in writing by the City of Shallowater.  Failure to timely close will result in the contract being cancelled.  The bids will be opened on April 20, 2021 at the City of Shallowater City Council Meeting.  The meeting will start at 7:00pm and is located in the Shallowater Police Annex, at 607 Avenue G, Shallowater, Texas.  If you have any questions please call Shallowater City Hall at 806-696-4300.
