Variance Request on the Construction of Upland Avenue or County Road 1600

The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 17th of August, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a variance request on the road construction to Upland Avenue, otherwise known as County Road 1600.  The variance request is to not be required to install curb and gutter and instead improve the edges of road and allow for a 20’ utility corridor outside the west ditch line. 

 

This variance, if granted would allow the developer, Kyle Carruth, to improve the road by adding a 20’ utility corridor outside the west ditch line and improve the bar ditches instead of installing curb and gutter.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to City Hall, 806-696-4300.
