Variance for a Special Exception and Tiny House to be Placed at 910 12th Street for April Hudson…: City of Shallowater Public Notice   The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 19th of November, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a special exception for April Hudson at 910 12th Street to place a 34’ X 16’ tiny house on the west side of Shallowater Flowers and Gifts. The special exception is for the tiny house to be used as a residence in a commercially zoned area.  There will be an 8’ fence around the tiny house and it will tie in to the existing water and sewer lines of the flower shop.  The shop and the tiny house cannot be sold separately.  The tiny house is restricted from being utilized as a residential rental property in the future as well. This variance will also allow for the size and height of the tiny house to be placed at the location described above.   This variance, if granted would allow them to place a 544 square tiny house to be used as a residence.  The plans meet all required setbacks.  Any questions or concerns may be directed to City Hall, 806-696-4300.  Thank you

The City of Shallowater would like to give all interested parties the right to appear and be heard at the council meeting on Tuesday, the 16th of March, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Department Training Room, 607 Ave G, Shallowater, Texas on the issue of a variance request from Jayson Robinson at 802 Avenue U to place an attached 24’ X 24’ shop/garage to be placed on the rear lot line.  The height of the walls will be the same as the house and taller than eight feet.  The purpose of the variance is to use the east wall of the shop/garage as a fence, and tie it into the new wood fence of the alley.    

This variance, if granted would allow the owner to build a 576 square foot metal shop/garage that is attached to the house that is currently being constructed at 802 Avenue U.  The variance is for the size and height of the structure and the ability to place the detached shop/garage on the rear property line.
